Keepin It Real

November 19th, 2008

I am so thankful that the Lord has allowed us to be involved in Kingdom work! There is such a prophetic shift happening in the earth right now…We are on the edge of a dispensational change. Everything seems to be changing, almost as if we are living at twilight. Lines that used to be so distinct are being blurred, friendships are being challenged and paradigms are shifting. We are actually poised to experience a New Testament awakening for this generation like we have only imagined…

Many of you have been frustrated trying to fit your dreams and anointing into old wine-skins and paradigms. You feel as if by even thinking some of the things that are in your heart that you’re being disloyal or unethical. You are not alone! Christ is the head of a huge body and the body is being awakened…All over the world believers with prophetic ears are hearing what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church. Miracles and supernatural manifestations appear to be increasing…dreams and visions are appearing to our young men and women and elders alike… There is even a fresh alignment of prophetic ministry that is awakening apostolic government once again as prophets, apostles, teachers, pastors and evangelists are stepping into new ministry arenas.

What is disconcerting to many is that the Spirit is speaking direction and concepts that aren’t alligned with ones usual theological and philisophical slant. This breeds fear and timidity among the conformist and a sense of revolution among the adventurous. Some of us are caught in the in-between…We want to be in the perfect Will of God,and we certainly want to be scripturally and theologically correct. We don’t want to make the same mistakes we find in past histories of revival and reformation. So what do we do? How do we proceed?

I’m convinced that a broken and contrite spirit will not be dispised by the Holy God of Israel…We must be careful that we have been completely delivered from pride, prejudice, and religion before we pursue this journey!

More later…

Dear Friends,

What an exciting and busy time to be involved in Kingdom work! We have been so blessed to have survived Gustav this past week and have been involved all week working with shelters across our city. Thousands of evacuee’s have flooded into our city this past week or so, and we have been endeavoring to be militantly missional during this time of crisis for our state . SMG as well as Faith Tabernacle has partnered together to provide medical supplies, water, pillows and linens to several Red Cross and Church shelters. Many of our young adults have vollunteered in the shelters for 12 hr. shifts this week as well as our creative dance team, Chosen2, ministered at the LSUS shelter. This was a great ministry opportunity to be “The Church” instead of just having church!!!

We have been busy working on the website for our church, Faith Tabernacle, so I haven’t been as faithful to my SMG site as I would have liked …please forgive us , and we”ll try to do better.

We are finally getting settled here in Shreveport, la. after 9 months of running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to acclimate to a new environment while buying a new home  and watching our Church triple in just 6 months…Praise God! We have enrolled the kids into new schools as well …this is their first time in public school in years. They seem to love it and are acclimating well…Praise the Lord!!!

I will be at an AWCF regional conf. in North Carolina next week and then also travelling the rest of the month to several other conferances. I enjoy so much this ministerial network of over 180 different organizations and ministries that have unified for a common cause…The Gospel!!!

The Apostolic Christian Networks meeting in Mesquite ,Tx. last month was awesome and it was a joy to be able to minister for their Friday evening service. This is a wonderful fellowship and we met a lot of new people who we look forward to getting to know better in the future…Thank you Bishop Baker and ACN Board for inviting me to be a part of your meeting…

Remember us in your prayers as we continue to endeavor to “Keep It Real”!

Keepin It Real

July 25th, 2008

We have been experiencing an awesome move of the lord this summer at Faith Tabernacle. We are beginning an experiment to become a true New Testament Church. Our mission statement has become “to be a Spirit-Filled, Spirit-Led ,Christ-Like Community”…. This is the cry of our heart! We want to believe ,live and die as a true disciple of Christ, not just a member of a religious sect or church culture.

We have been receiving so many documented reports of truly amazing testimonies of healing and deliverance. I am so grateful to be a part of what the Lord is doing again in the earth right before His coming… I really believe we are in the beginning stages of an end-time outpouring that will take us through tremendous upheaval here in North America while propelling us into revival world-wide.

Tonight we are at the Grace Camp Meeting in Louisiana…Paul Russel of Christ Family Ministries ministered tonight and I’m preaching tomorrow night. It was great meeting a lot of new friends that I’ve never met before while also meeting some ministers I have heard of most of my life , but never have met. Our good friend Steve Barley from Houston was there tonight as well as the worship ministry of Landy Mahon.

I’ll write more later and tell you how tomorrow night goes…

We are truly experiencing “The Summer of the Supernatural”. Testimonies are coming in daily from our Faith Tabernacle community as well as around the world from those being saved ,healed , and delivered ! What a Mighty God we serve…. It’s time to boldly declare that”Jesus Christ is Lord”. Our mission is the Great Commission “till the whole world knows”…

It’s the middle of Summer and Camp Meeting season is in full swing. Alexander is with our Faith Tabernacle youth this week at Ron Luce’s Teen Mania Camp. We’re receiving great reports of what the Lord is doing among the hearts and lives of over 2000 young people there this week. I am so excited about the spiritual hunger of today’s children and young people. We were so thrilled to have the ministry of Lyle B. Phillips among our Youth and Tween Ministries this past weekend. Lyle was my personal assistant for over a year and also a formative part of Issachar Institute and has a wonderful ministry introducing the supernatural power of God to a post-modern culture.

We are preparing for several conferences and camp meetings these next few weeks and would love to see some of you at these exciting events…Next Friday we’ll be speaking at the Grace Camp Meeting in Winsboro, La. hosted by Pastor Kevin Bates. Then on the 30th of July and 1st of Aug. we’ll be in Anderson ,Indiana with Pastor Mike Johnson who is one of our covenant partners. Aug. 5-8 we will be ministering at the Apostolic Christian Network’s annual convocation in Mesquite ,Texas. I can promise you the event in Mesquite will be worth your while and that the speakers will be ministering under a heavy anointing for healing and deliverance…

We are continuing to develop our FaithWorks International  concept and we look forward to the launch of our new ministry site as well as the web site for Faith Tabernacle New Testament Church. I have just completed a 12 week study on the Dynamics of a New Testament Church that will be in our Bookstore very soon as well as our new series on “Creating the Environment for Miracles ,Signs ,and Wonders”. We will also be making our ”Ride the Wave”sermons from this summer available as many of you keep requesting our current material.

Thanks so much for your continued prayers and love as we endeavor to fulfill the Will of the Lord in our lives and ministry.

Just returned from the Acts29tv Camp Meeting in Georgia. It was absolutely awesome and the Heavens were opened and miracles and blessings poured out like Holy Ghost rain !!! The ministries of Wendell Hutchins, Wayne Neyland, Randy Hollis along with others were absolutely life changing…

Week before last , I was in Martinsville, Virginia at Shiloh Way of the Cross Apostolic Church celebrating the Pastoral Anniversary of Bishop Dillard and his lovely wife…I had such a wonderful time with these precious people. It’s always wonderful making new friends and preaching in new places we’ve never been.

We are so excited about getting our web site updated again…We have a new web-master who is adding a lot of great new features asap…Now that we are pastoring I have somewhat neglected our SMG site, but we are about to launch our new Church site and will be linking the two together.

We are continuing to grow and develop new leaders and ministries here at Faith Tabernacle. The Lord is so good and we are enjoying “The Summer of the Supernatural”. Our Theme this summer is “Ride the Wave” and it has been an amazing time of miracles and healing. Our church family has tripled in only 6 months and we are so excited about what He has promised to do in the future as we stay in the river of His anointing.

Get ready this Fall for our new Issachar Institute trimester on “Miracles,Signs, and Wonders” and “The Dynamics of a New Testament Church”. We will be offering on-line courses that will be very inter-active and affordable.

Thanks for all of you that stay in touch …

Wow…..anyone  having trouble keeping up with life besides me?

We are having an awesome move of the miraculous in our local assembly as well as our travels. It’s amazing what all the Lord is doing in the earth today for His Glory. More Lord…… We want more !!! That’s the cry of our hearts right now as we are entering into what I believe is “The Summer of the Supernatural.” Instead of a summer slump we are experiencing a fresh wave of the manifestation of the Glory of God.

In May were blessed to be guests and participants in the Apostolic World Christian Fellowship’s annual convocation in Evansville, Indiana. What an awesome time of preaching, teaching, singing and worship with ministers from literally around the globe. There were leaders from Africa, Europe, Asia, the west Indies, Central and South America and most parts in between. Over 183 different organizations, denominations and para-church ministries joined together to celebrate the oneness of the Body of Christ. I honor our General Chairman, Bishop Samuel Smith for the tremendous leadership mantle that he carries with such ease and integrity. We appreciate so much how he has welcomed into this fraternity of New Testament believers and has treated us as family. We are forever grateful.

Stephanie was the Ladies Day speaker this year and I heard she did a great job ministering ,even though I wasn’t(allowed) to hear her…Somebody had to stay home !!! lol

This past Sunday under the direction of Bishop David Fuller of the AWCF and our Bishop Shelton Young ,Stephanie was officially ordained into ministry. It’s true she has ministered by my side for these past 20 years , but now it’s OFFICIAL….. I honor her and am so proud of what the Lord is continuing to do in her life and ministry!

I will be travelling doing Camps and conferences these next few weeks ,so stay in touch for all the updates…..Love you and appreciate your prayers so much.

This is the day the Lord has made….l will rejoice and be glad !!!

Wow ,so much is happening at such a rapid pace that I can’t seem to keep up with it all. We have moved our family, embarked on a new pastorate, bought a new home, doubled our congregation, leased a new Lexus ,travelled to Europe, and tried to stay sane in only 3 months !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so excited about what the Lord is doing here in Shreveport and around the world. We really have more than doubled in the last few months and have seen the Lord bring great restoration and revival to Faith Tabernacle. It is such a joy to be a part of a true New testament Community. Our new church web site is almost finished and can’t wait for you to know more about this awesome group of people. This past Sunday was absolutely amazing as people were saved ,healed and delivered ! We have actually been growing at the rate of 1-3 families a week these last couple of months…I’m believing its only the beginning.

Alexander and I were in London the first of March and had a blast…We were treated so well by our host Pastor Marvin Sanguinetti and his beautiful New Life congregation. We were honored to speak at their Unity Conference and 7th anniversary as well as several other events while in London. We enjoyed so much just hanging out around London as buddies…Alex is 14 and really growing up on us. He’s my new personal assistant and can do everything but drive me around !!!

Last month we were also privileged to minister at the End-Time Conference. in Union City ,Cal. with Bishop Lopez as well as the Bridge Conf. in Houston, hosted by Dr. Wendell Hutchins. These were both awesome meetings and would be worth getting the preaching Cd’s or DVD’s…Bridge 2008 was a one of a kind meeting that I can’t say enough good about. It was relevant, revolutionary, and renewing all at the same time…The staff was second to none and the sessions were amazing. I appreciate Pastor Hutchins for hosting and developing such a visionary event.

This weekend I will be travelling to Huntsville,Alabama to one of our favorite churches , Victory Tabernacle , and Pastor Troy Taylor. Several years ago we experienced wonderful creative miracles there and look forward to even greater things happening these next few services.

Our entire family is now here in Shreveport and we are so blessed to begin to put roots down again after 3 years in the wilderness….Praise God for restoring  that which the canker -worm and palmerworm tried to destroy. We honestly feel as if our life has been taken off of pause and we are going forward into our destiny.

We just completed a  new 8 part series on “What is a New Testament Church?” we should have it packed and ready for orders soon…Thanks so much for loving us and praying for us!
